If you are a potential or returning client, it is a great idea to read through some of our terms and conditions, as we apply them to each of our jobs.
1. Who Are We?
We are a professional moving company that provides goods and services to clients wishing to move their belongings from one location to another. We may also remove items if requested by the owner. All instances of the word “you” pertain to clients and potential clients.
2. Your Obligations
We expect each of our clients to supply us with accurate and complete information that will allow us to perform the duties of our service. We will also ask the client to sign a sheet which spells out the time of the move as well as several conditions of utilizing our services. The move will then commence. Upon completion of the move, the client will be asked to sign a sheet approving that the job was completed in a satisfactory manner.
3. Loading and Unloading Protocol
Our movers do not take inventory of the goods our clients ask us to move. As a result, it is necessary that an adult supervises the loading and unloading to ensure that the quality and number of items taken. Clients may make a written note of any quality issues before the items are taken. As a client, you are also expected to inform the movers of any fragile items as well as special precautions we should take. It is also the client’s responsibility to ensure that no items meant to be moved are left behind, as well as that no items have been placed in the truck in error.
4. Delivery of Goods
We will only deliver goods to you or a person you have authorized to receive them. If an authorized party is unavailable to receive the goods or any other instance occurs that makes it impossible for us to deliver the items, we will store the items in a warehouse. You will be charged an additional fee for storage and redelivery. In addition, we will not modify your items in an effort to deliver the items. This includes removing doors or taking shelves apart.
In the event that traffic conditions or vehicle repairs impair our movers from delivering the items, we are only held liable for loss or damage that occurs within our control. We take every step within our means to ensure that your items arrive in the proper location on time.
Should you choose to cancel our service within the 24 hours before the job, we will assess a reasonable charge for any loss of income or added expense that we incur.
5. Payment for Our Services
We Only accept payment in the form of cash. Credit Card Payment can be arranged if agreed to by Managment at the time off making booking,Credit card payments will include an additional surcharge to cover the full charges. If for any reason the full payment has not been made by the time we are intended to fulfill your delivery, we will not unload the items until we receive it. A lien will be placed on goods in storage until this time.
6. Damage to Items
We are not liable for loss or damage of your items that occur outside of our control, resulting from delays, weather or traffic. We do not know how much your items are worth and we do not insure them. You can rest assured that we take every bit of care possible in moving and delivering your items, but we also acknowledge that accidents may happen. If you are concerned with the safety of your items, you may choose to purchase insurance for them.
In addition, we are not responsible for items damaged as a result of inadequate packing. This includes items marked “Fragile” that are packaged with protection. We are also not responsible for damage due to items that carry an inherent risk, including electronic and mechanical items. If you or another party you approve of damages an item over the course of moving, we are not responsible for this item. In addition, you must report any damage to items as soon as they are unloaded. We will not accept claims after we have left the property. Each of these rules also applies to your property
